This private reference site is not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible public office directly for those services.
Jail and Sheriff Records
The Union County Sheriff's Office and Union County Correctional Facility share the address below, but they serve different purposes. Call the jail line for a current local-custody question. Send a defined jail, report, or potentially releasable photograph request to the records specialist. The sheriff's records FAQ lists specialist hours Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The official UCCF roster is a current-custody PDF. For a record request, use the UCSO public-records route and provide the person, date range, incident or case number if known, and a narrow description.
Which Office Holds the Record
Choosing the record holder helps avoid a delay. The current roster, a sheriff-held jail record, and a court disposition are not the same document.
- For a current UCCF roster entry or jail-information question, start with the jail line and the official roster.
- For a sheriff case record, jail record, or request-status question, contact the UCSO records specialist.
- For an LGPD report, CAD call log, or 911 audio, contact La Grande Police Records at 1109 K Ave., La Grande, 541-963-1017.
- For an arraignment, judgment, dismissal, or other court record, contact Union County Circuit Court, 1105 K Ave., La Grande, OR 97850, 541-962-9500. Counter hours are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- For a person in Oregon DOC custody or community corrections, use the Oregon DOC offender search or the DOC Public Records Center.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the official BOP locator or ICE detainee locator only when that custody system applies.
City Administrative Records
City halls hold their own administrative material, not UCCF booking records or sheriff reports. Union City Hall is at 342 S. Main St., Union, OR 97883, 541-562-5197. Elgin City Hall is at 790 S. 8th Ave., Elgin, OR 97827, 541-437-2253. Union and Elgin receive police service from UCSO, so arrest and custody questions belong with UCSO or UCCF.
